Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana, Inc., and its affiliated organizations, Goodwill Education Initiatives, Inc., GW Commercial Services, Inc., and Goodwill Industries Foundation of Central Indiana, Inc., help adults prepare for, find and keep jobs and help young people prepare for life and work.

Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana, Inc., offers employment, education, job placement, and related services to individuals whose vocational options are limited by a disability, criminal history, low education level, or other barrier. Employment is available in nearly 50 Goodwill retail stores and three distribution centers that employ a total of more than 1,300 people. Additional employment opportunities are available in Goodwill’s Commercial Services Division, which offers assembly, packaging, inspection, and similar services for companies.

Goodwill Education Initiatives, Inc., established in 2004, operates Indianapolis Metropolitan High School, a public charter high school designed to help increase the high school graduation rate and the percent of graduates who enroll in post-secondary education or training. Indianapolis Met’s individualized approach to learning links students to resources they need to develop their potential.

GW Commercial Services, Inc., provides employment, job training and skills development for people who have severe disabilities, primarily through janitorial, grounds-keeping, shelf-stocking, and mailroom service contracts with the federal government under Ability One, a program established by Congress to increase employment opportunities for people with severe disabilities.

Goodwill Industries Foundation of Central Indiana, Inc., raises money from individuals, corporations and private foundations and oversees an endowment of $21 million that is a source of funds used primarily to help develop and launch new operations and services to enhance Goodwill’s mission-related impact.
