Gordon M. Graham, Chair Owen B. Melton, Jr., Chair, Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana, Inc. Board of Directors

Born in Indianapolis, Mr. Graham attended Broad Ripple High School and graduated in 1956 from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics; in 1957 from Indiana University with a Master’s degree in Business Administration; and in 1980 from Harvard University with a certificate in the Smaller Company Management Program.

After military service in 1957-58, he joined the family business, Graham Electronic Supply Inc., becoming President in 1969.

In 1983, after negotiating the sale of his business to Bell Industries, Inc., a public company based in Los Angeles, he moved to California. In 1986, he became Vice-President of Bell, and in 1991, he returned to Indianapolis while remaining on the Board of Directors of Bell Industries and managing special projects for the company.

After Bell had some difficult years, he returned to Los Angeles in 1997 as President and soon after became CEO of the company for three years. He retired in June 2000, happy to be “Back home again in Indiana.”

Mr. Graham has been involved in Eagle Scouts, Phi Delta Theta fraternity, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine and is a member of Meridian Hills Country Club.

He has three grown children. His hobbies, besides children and grandchildren, are golf, reading and traveling.
