Donated vehicles are auctioned* weekly throughout the year at Indiana Public Auto Auction, 1340 S. Madison Ave. (just three blocks off I-70) in Indianapolis. Most auctions are scheduled on Tuesdays and begin at 6 p.m. Visitors may preview the cars and trucks at the auction site one hour before the sale begins and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

*Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana does not offer any programs where cars donated to Goodwill are distributed to qualifying individuals in need of automobiles.
Indiana Public Auto Auction accepts cash, cashier’s checks, credit cards (MasterCard and Visa) and pre-approved company checks. A $300 cash deposit is required to bid. The deposit is applied toward your purchase or refunded without purchase. Personal checks are not accepted. Full payment must be made by close on the Wednesday following the auction, and the purchaser must remove the automobile one week from the original auction date (prior to the start of the next Tuesday auction). Any car exiting the lot must have a dealer plate, be registered with a valid plate or be towed from the lot.
