Then play fashion model.

Find a store near you:

FIND COOL STUFF.

Turn it into cooler stuff.

Unleash your creativity – grab a man’s jacket and line it with someone’s former kitchen curtains, for example. Make a dress that fits your curves exactly. Paint it, dye it, cut it apart and put it back together. No telling the results of a trip to Goodwill, a Saturday afternoon, a pot of coffee and a podcast.

COMMON GROUND.

A conversation between nonprofit leaders.

Kent A. Kramer, our CEO, and Dr. Charles L Venable, Melvin & Bren Simon Director of Newfields, are both responsible for nonprofits that spend their days finding ways to transform the community – we suspected they had a lot in common, and turns out they do.

LOOKS LIKE ART TO US.

So we checked with a museum curator.

Anyone can craft their own style using Goodwill finds. But after we asked local professional designers to shop Goodwill and create something from whatever they discovered, we were curious, so we checked with Amanda Holden, conservator of Textiles at Newfields. She found lots of similarities between these creations and the textile collection at Newfields, a place for nature and the arts.
